Taking photos with a digital camera?
When I take photos at night of a city, the lights, when set to ‘night setting’ are very bright & blurry. If set to ‘normal setting’ the photo is black, with only a handful of lights visible.
I am going to Europe in January & would like to take photos of such things as the Eiffel Tower at night so obviously don’t want to have bad photos to look back at.
The camera is an Olympus FE220. Does anyone know what setting I need to use to stop this from happening?
Night Setting photos are blurry because the camera takes the photo over 1/2 a second, not 1/100 of a second. So any movement while you are holding the camera makes it blurred.
A tripod is best to keep the camera still. There are small ones with telescopic or fold up legs.
If you don’t want to carry a tripod around, find something to sit the camera on. Use “No Flash” for distance shots and set the timer so you don’t move the camera when pressing the button.
