Is it legal to drink in the streets of France?
I’m going on a trip to France where I’ll be in Paris and Nice. One of my mates joked around and said “get a picture of you drinking a beer on top of the Eiffel Tower.” It made me wonder if you are allowed to drink in public rather than just in the bars and restaurants. No i don’t have any intentions of drinking on the Eiffel tower haha, but I’m just wondering if it would be legal to walk down the street with a beer. Thank you,
In most of Europe the legal drinking age is 18, for beer and wine it is 16 – and you are allowed to drink on the street. You won’t need a paper bag 
Be careful about smoking though, they are just changing the laws over there and smoking is not allowed in most bars, clubs and other public places anymore.
