Using the information given below, create a rough scale drawing of the real Eiffel Tower on paper. Use the following scale 1 cm = 20 meters. You can refer back to the picture of the tower on the first page of this lesson or visit this Eiffel Tower information link.
Height of the actual tower in Paris – approximately 320 meters

Width of each side of the square base in Paris – approximately 125 meters

Measure a horizontal base, flat line 125/20 = 6.25 cm long

Find the middle and find a point straight up at a 90 degree angle to the line from the middle and at a distance of 320/20 = 16 cm. That’s the top of the tower. Fill in the rest according to its shape.
