What color should I paint my bedroom? I don’t know what color I should paint it…?
I don’t really have a favorite color, and my room is about 11×13 feet, an average size for a 1 person bedroom, and I am a girl. I am 13 years old, and right now my bedroom is a bright baby yellow, which I thought was really pretty when I was like… 6 or 7. Now, it’s kind of getting old, and I think I’ve had it long enough, I’m a teenager now, and a yellow room is kind of…. shall I say, a tad baby-ish? Just to give you an idea, I was going to get some cute furniture from IKEA. For those of you who don’t know what it is, here’s a link:

I was thinking of getting spherical Chinese paper lamps, maybe hetting like pictures of London and Paris, kind of like, pics from around the world. I’m like a traveling, happy, athletic person. Maybe I could get stuff to decorate my room from different cultures? Like, maybe get a Chinese paper lamps, a model of the Eiffel Tower, or get like, a cute concave sort of chair to slump in… Anyway, can I get some ideas paint and decor?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the “painted” rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. I did the exact same thing when I was your age. My mom painted my bedroom yellow before I was born, and then I painted it blue just before high school. Check out a color called “bracing blue” (# 6242). That’s similar to what I had at the time.
