How often during the evening does the Eiffel tower light up ?
In order to get some decent photos of the tower in Paris , France as I’m in town for one night, any ideas where the best vantage point would be and what time do the lights go on ?

Its lit up practically all night. I was there in November 2008 and the tower sparkles for the first 10 minutes of every hour after dark. Best place to see it would be from the river right next to it, actually as another answerer has said, the best place to see the tower is between the two buildingsfrom champ de mars i think its called. I was looking at my Paris photos yesterday and those pics of the tower from that vantage point looked really good
