Ideas for unique wedding favors $5-8 per guest?
We are having a Sunday champagne brunch and the theme is French and decor is fancy vintage.
I need some ideas for unique wedding favors.
I was thinking about wine with custom labels, but also want some other things to consider.
I am really over Jordan Almonds and little organza bags with stuff in them. Not keen on candles. No Eiffel Towers either.
Any ideas? I can spend up to $ 8.00 per guest.
Do people even expect favors these days?
We live by a local winery and they were offerring to do the bottles for $8.00 each since we will be buying 100 bottles. ( we get a 25% discount for the bulk order) I guess I should go and sample the wine first if we go that route to make sure it is good.
hmmm… based on the comments, though,I wonder if favors are even necessary. It is a big expense.
I’ve been to a few weddings recently where there weren’t any favours, and we didn’t miss them at all. Having said that, a little keepsake is nice for each guest, and I know my parents and my in-laws have both still got theirs.
The wine sounds like a good idea, it fits in with your French theme and the labels will be a lovely touch.
I’d be tempted to go for something edible that the guests can eat at the table after the meal – I’ve seen personalised fortune cookies which say lovely personal things about the couple getting married when you break into them (very sweet!) and little tins of mints with the couples names and the date of the wedding on. People can keep the tins if they like, and eat the mints!
One wedding I went to a few years ago had little questions about the couple in a basket on each plate, along the lines of “where did we meet” and “who proposed” and “what is our song?” which had the guests talking and breaking the ice before the meal!
Have fun choosing, and congratulations on the upcoming wedding!
